GMCR is operated under the UVM Medical Center umbrella. It offers general practice and physical therapy services. I particularly appreciate the PT services, since I used to have to drive 20 minutes to the nearest facility.
I went in for a visit and it required that I pee. I was unable to at that time and so I came back the next day. I was charged for a full visit the second day, although I did not see a doctor or a nurse. Also the tests they ran were extemely expensive, and they did not ask my okay. The doctor visit the first day was less than 1 minute. The doctor did not ask me any questions, no one even took my pulse or temperature or anything. All told, after my insurance paid what they pay, my 1 minute visit was over $500.
